LARGE PROPERTIES

Westside Water Resources works with large property owners in San Francisco to design and construct green infrastructure for aquifer recharge.

Aquifer recharge has the dual benefit of building water source resilience and reducing the load on our combined sewer system.

Our pilot project, the Far Out West Community Garden, sequesters nearly 49,000 gallons of water each year for irrigation and aquifer recharge.

Public funding is available through the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission’s Green Infrastructure Grant (GIG) Program for projects that convert at least 22,00 sqft of impervious surface. You can learn more about the program and your eligibility here

Westside Water Resources acts as a trusted partner throughout the grant cycle, offering:

  • Upfront Financing for initial project costs (up to 90% of all project costs generally reimbursable through GIG)

  • Grant application support

  • Grant Administration and Compliance

  • Design Services

  • Infrastructure implementation and construction
